Flashbeat can show flashes happening physically nearby, ordered by how close they are and how many people have joined. See what is flashing around you. Location is optional and only ever asked for at that feature.

- Do people need to download an app?
- No. Flashbeat runs in the phone’s web browser. Open the link and you’re in. There’s nothing to get from an app store.
- Do I need an account?
- Not to create, share or join a flash. You only need an account to buy an Event Pass.
- How do people join?
- Three ways: scan the QR code, open the link, or tap the flash when it shows up on their screen as nearby. At an event, the fastest way is to have whoever is on the mic tell everyone to open flashbeat.app and tap “See what’s flashing around you.”
- Is Flashbeat free?
- Yes. Creating, sharing and joining a flash are free, with unlimited phones. An optional $39 Event Pass removes the Flashbeat mark for 24 hours and adds your own logo.
